WEST BURLINGTON SWIMMING POOL

FACILITY RULES

  1. Do not enter the pool if you have a communicable disease, open cut, or have been sick within the last 24 hours 
  2. Shower before entering the pool and after using the restroom
  3. Non-swimmers and all children 10 years old and under must be supervised by a responsible adult (15+) at all times during your visit.  Must be within arm’s reach of a non-swimmer. 
  4. Swim Diapers are required for children who are not potty trained and must be changed regularly.
  5. NO Outside Food or Drinks
  6. NO Smoking, Vaping, or use of illegal Drugs on pool property
  7. NO Running or Rough Play in or around the swimming pool
  8. NO Foul Language
  9. NO Loitering in the bathhouse
  10. NO water guns or water bead guns of any kind on pool property
  11. Water toys and flotation devices need approval from Pool Manager.  Misuse of water toys or flotation devices will lead to removal by pool staff.
  12. Regulation and family-friendly swimwear is required.
  13. Must be able to swim the width of the pool to use diving boards and drop slide.  No Exceptions. 
  14. NO diving in the shallow end of the swimming pool and in other areas marked “No Diving”
  15. One person at a time on all Diving Boards, Slides, and Ladders.
  16. Must be at least 48” tall to ride water slides.  Maximum weight is 300 pounds.  One rider on the slide at a time.  NO Exceptions.  Follow posted slide rules before riding.

 

Anyone violating the pool rules will be ban from the pool at the City’s discretion.

Anyone damaging city property may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

 

WATER SLIDE RULES

42” OPEN FLUME WATERSLIDE

 

  1. Riders must enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for instructions from the lifeguard stationed at the slide starter tub.
  2. All riders must be at least 48" tall.
  3. Maximum rider weight is 300 pounds.
  4. Riders must lie on their backs at all times. Do not sit up while riding the slide.
  5. Do not pull or propel yourself into the ride.
  6. No combs or foreign objects are allowed in pockets and no jewelry can be worn while riding the slide. No cut-off jeans or swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets, or metal ornamentation; only approved swimsuits allowed.
  7. All riders must ride feet first while lying on their back with arms crossed across their chest. Do not go down the slide head first.
  8. No running, standing, kneeling, rotating, tumbling, or stopping in the flume. Arms and hands must remain inside the flume at all times. Riders should remain in proper riding position until forward movement is terminated. At no time should the rider attempt to stand up while on the slide or prior to coming to a complete stop in the splash out area.
  9. Only one rider at a time. Absolutely no trains or chains of riders are permitted.
  10. No tubes, mats, or life jackets are permitted on the water slide.
  11. The line should form on the deck with one rider on each landing and one rider in the starter tub. Wait until landing area is clear before entering.
  12. Riders must be in good health. Elderly persons, those suffering from heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, or persons using prescription medication should consult their physician before using this slide. Individuals with medical conditions including, but not limited to, pregnancy, heart, or back problems should not ride.
  13. Do not use this slide while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  14. No diving from the slide.
  15. Leave the plunge pool promptly after entering.
  16. Non-swimmers are not permitted.
  17. WARNING: Water depth is 3 feet 6 inches.
  18. Rider assumes all risk of injury due to misuse of this slide or failure to follow these rules.

WATER SLIDE RULES

DROP-SLIDE

 

  1. Riders must enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for instructions from the lifeguard stationed at the slied starter tub.
  2. Riders must lie on their backs with arms crossed across their chest at all times. No sitting or standing up while riding the s1ide is permitted. Do not go down the slide head first or on stomach.
  3. All riders must be at least 48" tall.
  4. Maximum rider weight 300 pounds.
  5. Do not pull or propel yourself into the ride.
  6. No combs or foreign objects are allowed in pockets and no jewelry can be worn while riding the slide. No cutoff jeans or swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets, or metal ornamentation; only approved swimsuits allowed.
  7. Only one rider at a time. Absolutely no trains or chains of riders are permitted.
